Dear Friends,
There is no way to describe my anguish and anger in the wake of two horrific gun massacres. 19 children and two teachers murdered at Robb Elementary School in Texas. 10 people killed while grocery shopping at the Tops Supermarket in New York. At the same time the FBI has reported that the number of active shooter attacks has DOUBLED since the beginning of the pandemic.
What are we waiting for? When will we have the courage to say enough is enough? Will we wait for things to get even worse and for more innocent people to be murdered? Because if Americans don’t demand accountability from their government, innocent people will continue to die in these extreme, barbaric acts of senseless violence.
Every elected official should have a plan for what they are doing to address gun violence. Every American should ask their leaders what they’re doing to stop it. If the answer is “nothing,” or “sending prayers,” I leave it to you to decide if that is a satisfactory answer.
My plan to reduce gun violence and improve safety is called Enough is Enough, and it is right here.
I won’t stop fighting to protect Americans from being killed by guns. Neither should you.
Courage,
|
